Stool / Side Table

Inspired by the Klismos Chair - this pair of stools were originally conceived to be 4-sided. While the Klismos has a clear front and back, I wanted to design a stool that could stand alone, and be approachable from any angle. The legs flare-out on the 45 degree angle (instead of front and back) and the skirt boards mortise into the each leg. The wood is mahogany, while the top is made of Argentinean leather, woven and fastened from below. Years later, when I needed tables instead of stools, I decided to have glass tops made, and today I use it as a side table in my bedroom. (My parents have the sister stool in their home)
